Your feedback in action

Here at MEETinLEEDS, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers. Our ‘Best Accessibility’ award is proudly displayed in our office, joining awards for ‘Best Sustainability’, ‘Best Collaboration’ and ‘Best Residential Venue’. It’s always great to see the fruits of all our hard work and we’re confident our collection will continue to grow in 2020!

By giving us constructive feedback on everything we do at MEETinLEEDS, you let us know exactly how we can make our service the best it possibly can be. Your feedback helps us to improve the customer experience and make future conferences even better.

We’re always working hard to make sure any areas for improvement are targeted and changes are made to make our service better for you. Looking back over the past 12 months, we’re proud to say that we’ve made a number of changes in light of feedback we’ve received.

Here are our top 6

  • Accessibile accommodation

You required more accessible accommodation. We added additional rooms from our property portfolio to supplement Charles Morris Hall.

  • Alternative menus

You asked for vegetarian and vegan lunches and now provide menus to suit all requirements and special dietary requirements for 25% of your attendees. We delivered alternative catering options for all.

Our Executive Chef responded by carrying out research on current market trends in this area and then bringing together the management team and the Front of House Manager to review our selection of vegetarian dishes.

A new and improved vegetarian menu was introduced to enhance our offering by giving customers using our facilities a greater choice of vegetarian dishes.

  • Software upgrades

You asked us to provide software to support event websites, registration and abstract management. We invested in an online solution and now offer this as part of our conference management service.

  • Product photography

You asked for more clarity on what our items looked like and so we provided professional photos of all of our products to help you, the customer, when ordering food.

  • Clarity on allergens

In October, our service launched a composite allergen sheet which is now delivered with all orders. We will shortly be supplying this information on new labels for all dishes made on campus giving you the customer clear information.

  • Sustainable packaging

You asked for more sustainable packaging. We are rolling out new boxes for all of our delivered catering.

Here at MEETinLEEDS our goal is to provide a conference and events service that doesn’t compromise our commitment to a sustainable University, as outlined in the Sustainability Strategy. We have reduced the amount of single-use plastic trays and lids from our delivered service sandwich offer which has meant a saving on average of 500 plastic trays and lids per week.  This number is also set to increase by the end of the March 2020 as our new recyclable packaging range expands to cover our entire deli(very) menu will come into operation.
