Venue info

The Roger Stevens Building is found at the heart of our campus, overlooking a decorative pond, which is home to various flora and fauna, including Mallard ducks and ducklings.

The building’s namesake was a British academic, diplomat and civil servant, as well as a former Vice-Chancellor of the University from 1963 – 1970.

Comprising of 25 tiered lecture theatres, with varying capacities of up to 300 delegates, Roger Stevens is suitably equipped for conferences with multiple concurrent sessions, presentations, screenings and hybrid events.

Fusing a traditional 1950s Brutalist architectural design, with a contemporary technical infrastructure throughout many of the theatres, Roger Stevens is an engaging environment for collaboration.

When hired in conjunction with our nearby Conference Auditorium and Exhibition Centre, we can accommodate large-scale conferences and exhibitions simultaneously for up to 870 delegates.
