Ginger Tom
Ginger Tom hit the music scene in 2014, they are singer and guitarists Dan Washbourn and Tom Prendergast, drummer Alex Byard-Cooke and bassist Luke Broadhurst. They have supported the likes of Marillion, the Pigeon Detectives, The Hoosiers, Beautiful South, Nina Nesbit, Example, Sigma, Wretch 32 and many more. The band has been played nationally across the BBC network (including BBC Radio 1), enjoying airplay and performing live sessions on BBC Introducing.
“As soon as I heard their first song I thought brilliant! At last, a proper band, great vocals, well-crafted songs and some great musicianship…”
STUART EPPS
“When I first listened to Ginger Tom it was because it’s my job to do so, 6 months on I now listen to them because it is my pleasure to do so. I don’t just play their tracks on my radio show, I play them on my car stereo on the school run, because there’s no better start to the day than singing along to ‘7 Years’.”
CHRISTIAN CARLISLE – BBC INTRODUCING
Glass Mountain
Formed just one year ago and named after a David Hockney artwork, Bradford quartet Glass Mountain locked themselves away in a basement studio to write and record their critically acclaimed 5 song debut, the GLACIAL EP. Since its release on June 10th, the band have made a number of striking and memorable live performances including The Secret Festival and Bingley Music Live. Don’t miss out on seeing them at The Refectory.
“Their arrangements are complex; their lyrics are confessional and poetic. They’re artistic without being inaccessible, and they’re also one of the most promising and accomplished new acts to come out of the underground scene in recent memory.”
THE INDIE-PENDENT
“Firmly in the cinematic alt-rock category, the Bradford quartet make sky-high, life affirming guitar music that empowers and devastates in equal measure. From the outset, the ambitious yet raw production is spell-binding, with a heart-wrenching balance of aggression and delicacy. A rare and faultlessly ambitious debut.”
XYZ MAGAZINE
“A brave and fascinating EP.” CLASH MAGAZINE
