“The food was very good indeed. We had the chicken pizza and the root vegetable and halloumi salad – both delicious and good value. Assuming it is not a trade secret, could you ask the team at the Edit Room to email the recipe for the root veg salad. It was that good!”

Sport & Physical Activity

The University’s sports facilities, including The Edge gym and the Gryphon Centre, and sport development programmes.

“The facilities are of high quality and the nicest gym I have ever been in. Amazing range of classes, great equipment, the pool is always clean, and the staff are extremely friendly.”

“The range of exercises classes and the timings of classes. I don’t believe some of these classes exist anywhere else in Leeds and the frequency and length of times classes run is brilliant. Very impressed.”

Cleaning Services

A team of over 350 staff, who service all the academic buildings and outdoor spaces on the University of Leeds campus.

“I would just like to thank you on behalf of the School for all the hard work and effort you and your team are putting in to keep the School clean and tidy, especially with the arrival of new students next week and upcoming Open Days. It is very much appreciated.”

“I would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to the Cleaning Services team who are currently in Baines Wing doing a deep clean. It is the first time that I have taken the effort to approach them to thank them pretty much for a thankless job that they are doing.”

Security Services

The team offers crime prevention advice, campus patrols, crime investigation, and response to alarms and emergencies.

“I just wanted to send a message of thanks to staff from security who supported Disability Services in working out how best to secure the building over the holidays and for responding to my call this morning and ensuring staff could enter the building as needed on their return to work after the holidays.”
