Standard Service

This University of Leeds service takes the stress and strain out of organising a conference from the shoulders of a conference organiser, leaving them free to concentrate on the programme content.

As part of our standard service; we will locate and book the venue, accommodation and audio-visual equipment required for your event.

Many of our customers have told us of the important role that catering has in the success of their events and our team of award-winning chefs have designed nutritional and delicious menus for you and your delegates to enjoy. They are also happy to work with you, if you have specific catering needs, in order to ensure that everyone attending your event has a positive culinary experience.

Tailored Service

Your Event Management team will help you to create a tailor-made package to fit your budget, manage the event from start to finish, and – most importantly – at an affordable cost per delegate.

Our services include:

  • Producing, mailing and processing delegate registration forms
  • Staffing the registration desk during the event
  • Maintaining financial procedures including banking and accounting for all monies received
  • Following up debtors and maintaining statistics for up to three months after the event

Fees are normally based on a minimum charge and a rate per delegate

Frequently Asked Questions

The costs for your event are tailored to your specific requirements; however the usual charge is £50.00 per delegate plus an administrative fee that depends upon the complexity of your event. We understand that every event is different and that one fixed rate can not apply to all.

The Conference and Events Team have a strong track record of managing events both nationally and internationally. We are happy to travel where your event takes us.

You will have a dedicated Event Manager who will work with you to plan and manage your event from start to finish. Your Event Manger will have the full support of the Conference and Events Team.

The Conference and Events Team at the University of Leeds has extensive knowledge and experience of the Conference and Events Industry. We have a comprehensive database of suppliers and service providers and as an internal department at the University we know the right people to get the job done.

Your Event Manager will be your 24-hour contact throughout the event. We ensure that you get every opportunity to participate in and enjoy your event.

We offer a one stop advice shop for all your conference needs and are qualified to give you the best advice possible regarding the Health and Safety management of your event. We are able to produce complex risk assessments and advise on insurance and legal obligations.

Your Event Manager will arrange for secure payments to be made to your conference account using the University Online Store.

This is part of our standard service and we are happy to give advice regarding the financial aspects of your event.
