We are definitely not alone in our appreciation of the season to be jolly!

The University of Leeds Sustainability team are also in the festive spirit, and they have lots of advice on how to make a difference over the coming holidays. So we thought it would be a great idea to team up and give you some tips, in the form of an advent calendar, on how to make the most of the festive fun in as sustainable way as possible.

This is traditionally the time of year where the amount of waste produced is at it’s highest, especially single-use plastic.

Fittingly, the University of Leeds has just launched the “Single Out: 2023PlasticFree” campaign. This is a pledge to phase out single-use plastic from the whole university in five years, and here at MEETinLEEDS we are committed to becoming single-use plastic-free by 2020.
