Your attention to detail astounds me – from when we first muted the idea with you Anthony until John’s team put the last plate on the table – everything has been superb. The presentation of the room on Saturday was tasteful and offered the right tone to the day.

The conference is well supported by MEETinLEEDS, the University Conference team: Leeds is one of the few city venues that have good disabled access for a high number of people who use wheelchairs and plenty of good quality accommodation to meet their needs.

Conference and Events Facilities

We offer facilities for smaller meetings, from one to one interviews, to away-days and training seminars. The scale of our facilities also enables us to host very large events, with accommodation here on site, with in-house, award-winning catering. The University also has high quality campus accommodation at Storm Jameson Court with 459 bedrooms.

  • Main Campus

    The main campus is compact and walk-able in 5 minutes. All meeting rooms, accommodation and restaurants are close at hand.

  • Leeds City Rail Station

    The station is just either a 20 minute walk or a short bus-ride away. Buses run year-round from the Citybus stop immediately outside the station entrance.

  • The University has two sites across Leeds

    The main campus with plenty of open space and excellent facilities all close at hand, or Oxbridge-style ambience at Devonshire Hall.

  • Leisure Facilities

    Our leisure facilities are second to none. We have the largest and best-equipped fitness suite at any UK university, along with a 25 metre swimming pool, all available free of charge to conference delegates.

Frequently Asked Questions

The University of Leeds has a number of facilities that are available all year round that range from 4-280 delegates. Devonshire Hall, Ellerslie Hall, Lyddon Hall, Parkinson Building and University House. Outside of our term time (mid Marchmid April, mid Decembermid January and mid Junemid September) we can offer a vast array of venues offering a maximum capacity of 550. Please call the team to put together a bespoke venue package for you and your event.

The main University campus is in the city centre and just a few miles from Leeds railway station. For information on how to find us please see the Getting to the University page.

The main University is just a 20 minute walk from Leeds city station. A bus is available which stops at the southern end of campus every 10 minutes from 6.30 am – 7.30 pm Mondays to Saturday.

The University’s facilities are as wide as they are flexible and so rates are provided based on your specific requirements. However prices range from £130 (room hire) and a Day Delegate Rate of £32.50 (+VAT).

Car parks at the University of Leeds are open to the general public between the hours of 17.00 – 07.00 Monday to Friday, all day weekends, Bank Holidays and when the University is closed. For full information and prices please see the dedicated car parking website.

Yes, the University is able to offer venues and catering for all events, occasions and private celebrations. Our award winning chefs are on hand to ensure your menu meets the needs of your guests.

The University has a state-of-the-art £12.5m fitness centre, The Edge, which also served as a London 2012 Olympic training camp venue. Located on campus, delegates will have FREE USE of The Edge for the duration of their event. The Edge boasts a 25m eight-lane pool, sauna and steam room and 200 station gym featuring state-of-the-art equipment.

During July to September we can offer Storm Jameson Court, a brand new hotel-style building with 459 en suite junior-double bedrooms. The excellent road, rail and bus network will provide ample opportunities to sample the diversity of Yorkshire. If your conference is not fully catered for on campus, we can also recommend our four star hotel, Weetwood Hall. This hotel is set within nine acres of parkland estate and built around a 17th Century Manor House; Weetwood Hall’s website. Alternatively, please give the team a call and we would be happy to advise you.
